Born to Craft…..Forced to Work!

Sorry it’s been awhile but I’ve been flat out.  Firstly the new job is going great!  No getting bored in a craft shop that’s for sure.  I’m rearranging the shop currently and cleaning it up, making use of display areas and doing heaps of knitting.  Secondly we went for finance on another house and viola!  within a week it’s all approved and ready to go!!  What a change from the last attempt.  So we will ...

Well, last week was not exactly what I expected.  For a start the finance fell through on the house so that was shock number one.  Then I had some trouble at work which caused me to rethink my career path and choose another BUT on a positive note.  I now am the Manager of a CRAFT shop!!  Well, I will be as of next Friday.  So my dream has come true AGAIN.  I used to ...

Well, we are still waiting to hear about finance, been well over two weeks now bordering on three.  How hard can it possibly be to come up with an answer?  I mean, my thought was that banks look at figures… not emotions.  They want to be sure that their investment pays off not well if they just did this it would be ok.  So far we have provided so much information to them at regular ...

I’ve been knitting and crocheting for about 25 years now.  Long, long time.  I was a professional knitter for Aussie companies for about 3 of those years.  My friend works at our local craft shop and as I walked in the door the other day she says to me "how much would you charge Chris (the owner of a craft store at Indoorapilly) to knit these two jumpers for her shop?"  Well, being as I ...

Today we find out if the house we want to purchase is free of termites and will stand up for awhile.  Building and Pest Inspection.  Also should have some news on the finance front!  Today could be the big day!!!  It’s scary and exciting at the same time.  It’s a really big house and we should all fit in quite comfortably but more on that later…..

It’s a little crazy in my world at the moment, I’m doing two jobs at work and it’s just about driving me crazy!!  I haven’t had the energy or the time to craft and that’s kind of my relax time so I’m abit stressed.  But only 3 more days to go!!  Can’t wait.  We are also looking at buying a home so we are constantly on the look out.  Kids are back at school - ...
